Only about a week late on the mid-milestone but I've finally hit it :)

It has a silly little gimmick ( the window expands upon creation ), but it also meets what I had in mind of being able to create sprites, and have them under user control. Though at the moment, it's rather oddly done in that I do an interesting little keycheck which I didn't expect to work all that well.

Rambling aside, I'm now getting back into the Project and it's coming along well. The mid-milestone stuff was all done last night in a couple of hours and I'm very pleased at how it worked out. I'm still doing the proxy method at the moment, rather than the more efficient template style in GPG7, but I'll switch to that later on.. I just need things working just now so I can test them.

I've also made a start on the dissertation. Seeing as I have done a fair bit of research and practical work so far, it's probably wise to start writing all this down and documenting what I've done.
Which brings up another point, I'm going to have to take this weekend out to properly doxygen the source as it's a bit.. well.. interesting, shall we say. So a slight code freeze and documentation write-up will occur this coming weekend. Means that when I hit the main Milestone next week, I can actually release something that is somewhat usable.

Milestone Two has changed slightly.. I just want the engine to be clean enough to start multi-platform coding, the feature complete aspect has been thrown out the window as, well, I won't know what features it will need till I finish coding in the other system(s). So that target's been moved to Milestone Three.

I'm also thinking on maybe supporting the DS too.. if I have time... it then gives me PC ( Windows/Linux ), GP2X ( it's literally a recompile of the Linux code ), PS2Linux ( I have an SDL/SPS2 wrapper from second year ) and DS ( which will be the more interesting one as I actually need to write the back-end system layers ) support.

Anyway, I'll describe what's going on a bit better later on.. I've a Maths class to enjoy in a bit!
